Default 1988 Fuel starvation HELP.......

Hi. I bought this car a few weeks ago. It had sat unused for a few years. Prior to that it had been running fine. When they tried to get it out (after a few years of sitting) it wouldn't start. They found they could get it to run by pouring gas down the carb throat, then after a few seconds it would die. I got the car with the carb all ready pulled. I took the top off of it and doused it with carb cleaner. I found the accelerator pump was frozen. Replaced it. Also replaced the float needle and seat. Reassmbled the carb and stuck it in the car. Cranked and cranked, no fire. Poured a little gas down the top of the carb and it fired up and ran about 5-10 seconds. I was able to rev the engine with the gas pedal. I pulled the fuel line off at the carb and stuck it in the top of the carb. This time it started and ran for 10-15 seconds before it flooded out. So, I know it is getting fuel to the carb, just something in the carb is blocking its progress. Any ideas on where I should look? Also, I need help with the vacuum hoses. They were labeled somewhat.

Appreciate any and all help.

Rick
