 '99 Escort Sport - Won't Start
My niece has a '99 Escort Sport with the 2.0L Engine and Auto trans. My brother in law cleaned the TB and Intake with Carb cleaner, started the car and it smoked heavily for a few minutes then shut off. Now the engine will spin but won't start. The fuel pump is making it's standard whine and seems to be working and the check engine light is off. Any suggestions on what could be the cause or things I should check? Do '99 cars have OBDII systems?Thanks! |
