did you adjust the rear shoes properly?? just a slight drag with the brake pedal NOT pressed.

when you bled the brakes. did you start with the RR, then LR, RF, LF?? did the fluid get low at anytime during bleeding or the brake pedal lifted while the bleeder screw was open??

how were the wheel cylinders?? did you check if they were leaking?? were the brake drums and rotors resurfaced??

when you replaced the master...did you bled it before you installed it and then bleed the brakes again??

can you pump up the brakes and get a good pedal that way??

sometimes with front disc/rear drums when the front or rear have a big problem the proportioning valve sticks and pressing the brakes hard or a few times gets the valve to work properly.

hopefully they will continue to work.
