Default Wax or polish?

Just curious what people do here, I have some friends that are die-hard waxers, and some who are die-hard polishers. I usually do either or. What do you usually do, and why?

I like wax myself. To me there is nothing better than parking my car in the shade with the music playing and making those small circles and sitting there watching it dry and then buffing it to a great shine. Kind of brings me back to my days as a teenager. Ahhh the good old days.

having worked at a delership and built a few old school showcars and 2 show saturns i will say i do (or did) use both. wax is exactly that. a protectant. the polish after the wax adds to an already great luster thus giving a deeper shine. give it a shot the results are suprising to many.

I don't get it why people always expect a old vehicle that breaks down to always be covered under some warranty?

If your exhaust tip is larger than your cylinder bore, then you are a Ricer.

I use the three step !!! First a cleaner wax / polish , then a polish, thirdly a wax sealant. I do this for the first part of spring, then up keep with the Sprit Wax / polish after each wash, then the three step again in the fall for the harsh winters here in Minnesota. I use to detail cars for several years and now I restore cars as hobby.
You can polish for the shine but you should seal the finish with wax to keep it all like new.

I am not sure, some of those spray on polishes are just so dang easy to use.

No wax on wax off for me!
