Do you know if you have clear coat finish on your wheels? Most newer cars/trucks do if they are stock wheels. Like from the '80s and present day vehicles.
You can use some polishes like Mothers, Mag cleaner. Its a small can and if you open it it looks like white cream. This stuff works great, it will take some elbo grease though. I would apply it as they say and for the first time I would do each wheel twice and then once or twice a year there after. I have used this stuff for about ten years and I love it.
Good luck

I use armour-all on my mag wheels, and even that stuff, with little effort rubs off the blackest of grime, just use a decent amount of it.
