Default Wax brands types

Ok, the windstar is still being painted (there was further delays due to the shop finding additional rust under the paint after sanding...) Anyway, the rims are sitting in my garage, they look great, but I want to wax the rims before I install them and align the van. I'd also like to buy a wax that I can later use on the paint.... so I don't have to buy twice. I'd like to buy a good wax, but I'd also like to stay on a budget. I've heard great things about P21S wax, but should I spend the $35, or should I get some watered down "but still good" wax at walmart? (like mother's or Meguiars) What brands of wax do you guys use, and where can I get it?
