Ford saves company with formula 1?

I couldn't believe what I was hearing today! Has anyone else heard that ford is going to Formula 1 in 2009? It sounds too good to be true, that we could finally be playing catchup with all the company's that aren't tanking, instead of selling out to one of them.

As much as it pains me to say this, but I hope they crush ferrari, just like they did in the 60's with the GT40 (<- EPIC car)

Someone has to take down the Mclaren/Ferrari monopoly... If Toyota could find someone that can actually drive, they would crush the competition with sheer budget. However, such as not the case.

I hope Ford kicks some ass.

All I heard today is Ford is cuting back production and revising its prediction for this 1/4 .
I was on msn.com but I dont see it now.....Doh!

PRAY. Nascar isn't what it used to be, if it was, NASCARS "taurus's" wouldn't shares everything but the front facia with chevy, mopar and toyota. The tire technology might be the only technology that makes it to us, the consumer. CONSUMER SAYS... CORVETTES ARENT FAST BECAUSE THEY'VE BEEN AROUND FOREVER, THEY HAVE BEEN AROUND FOREVER BACAUSE THEY ARE FAST, AND THERE FAST BECAUSE GENERAL MOTORS DEVELOPS AND TESTS COMPONENTS AT THE RACE TRACK. FoMoCo North America has to find its way onto more racetracks if it wants to be competative, hopefully thats what they will do with the money saved from not building minivans anymore.
