congrats on your 400th post.

personally, i dislike the design of the ranger. since everyone is going retro, they should make a "modern" version for the Gen 1 and Gen 2 rangers.

in a perfect world that would happen.

this one looks like bastard child mix of a Mitsubishi Raider/Honda Ridgeline/Nissan Frontier.

If they want a single platform, fine. Take the American platform overseas though rather than bringing than crap here. Anyway, looks dumb; I'd rather hve an F-150.

Umm, no? I really miss the older, compact pickups from the late 80s...they had just enough payload, just enough towing capacity, and a small enough engine to commute with without breaking the bank in fuel costs. They did all that just fine, with something like 90 hp and 130 ft-lb of torque.

I don't care to buy new, and am very wary of introductory-year model vehicles from any manufacturer. But if Ford brings this truck to the US, I'll be on the waiting list long before they reach the dealership.

I think the "new" Ranger should be retro-looking.....something like the '53-'56 FSeries only about 3/4 of the size-that would be an instant hit!!!
