Default Battery drain on 1999 Cobra Mustang

Hey guys... new to the forum and have a question
I have a 99 Cobra Mustang with a battery drain problem that is making me crazy. I've read the sticky on the testing of the electrical system. Ford had the car twice a while ago and claimed they couldn't find the problem.
Basically, when the car sits for 2 to 3 days, the battery goes dead completely. Per the testing, I removed the negative battery cable and put a meter between the cable and the battery post, started to pull fuses one at a time. The draw was around 35 mA. As soon as I pulled the Maxxi fuse #6 in the engine bay, the draw went to 0. Fuse #6 controls the instrument cluster and the PCM.
The car did have an after market alarm system that was removed, wondering if you guys think this could be the source of the problem. I would think the after market system was tied into the factory system, would that be tied to the instrument cluster? I know the pcm has a small constant draw for memory purposes, but would anything else be running through the pcm that would draw that kind of current?
Thanks for your help.

Unhook the alternator and check how much amperage you loose then, sometimes the regulators go bad, and the altenator draws from the battery.

Also you should consider having your battery load tested.

Thanks for the response.
I just installed a brand new Ford altenator, but did the check anyway. There was no drop in the amps after disconnecting.
Also, Ford installed a brand new battery and checked the loading.
The only drop I can see if when I pulled Maxxi Fuse #6 out.

is the fuse you're talking about the 30 Amp that says PCM PWR??

if so, disconnect the CCRM and see if the draw stops.

It was actually a 40 amp Maxxi fuse
Where is the CCRM located?

does it say I/P ?? the wiring diagram i'm looking at does not have numbers for the maxi fuses just names and amperage.

if it is the I/P fuse then that feeds fuses in the Central Junction Box fuse #'s 1, 7, 13, 15, 19, 21, 25, 27, 31, 33, and 39.

the CCRM is behind on a bracket, behind the coolant reservoir

Central Junction Box is under dash left of steering column

okay guys, here's an update....
I did some more testing... pulled fuse #39 from under the dash because I noticed a draw on the circuit. This is the fuse for the GEM. So far after 4 days the battery is still charged and the car starts fine. I'm assuming either a bad GEM module or possibly the old alarm system that was removed has a rogue wire hanging out there or maybe they cut a ground wire???? I would think even an after market alarm would have tied into the GEM circuit, correct? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, I have a 99 Mustang and I'm having the same problem that 99shinodacobra was having. I'm getting about a 39 mamp drain and it also stops when I pull the #6 40 amp fuse under the hood exactly like the cobra guys experience. I have no resolution as of yet. I will try pulling fuses under the dash starting with #39 (if my car has it). If anyone out there has any other ideas, please advise, thanks for the help.

99shinodacobra,
Seems I'm am running down the same path that you were. Did you ever find the culprit causing the drain? Any help is greatly appreciated. Below are my troubleshooting efforts thus far.

Slow Battery Drain,
When the car sits for 2 to 3 days, the battery goes dead completely. Listed are steps taken.
1. Tested charging system(New Battery & Alt good)
2. Removed the negative battery cable and put a meter between the cable and the battery post. Shows .39 draw.
3. Unhooked Alternator still .39 draw.
4. Isolated the circuit where the electrical drain is occurring F1.6 (#6 in the battery junction fuse box) protects 12 different circuits...

F2.27 Radio measuring .20

F2.39 GEM measuring .24
