I just found this site, and after doing a search, I still cannot find this problem listed anywhere. I have a 2003 Ford Taurus with 115K on it. Recently, the windshield wipers stopped working. Turn signal still works, as do the bright headlights, so that leads me to believe it's not an issue with the switch. However, that's the extent of my knowledge with this car. I basically bought the car used, as a beater/commuter car to keep the miles down on my other car. Unfortunately, (or maybe fortunately) I have found that I really like the car a lot, so it's become a loved member of my car family, even claiming a spot in the garage.
I'd really like to find out what to look for, so I can fix the wipers. The dealer charges $70 just to look at it, and hopefully they'll figure out what's wrong with it in that first hour. I'd rather not spend the money if it's a relatively easy fix.
I'm about to post another question about my inoperable power door locks, as well. Maybe they're related...
