| 87 fuel gauge problems I have an 87 f150 with dual tanks and while i drive the gauge bounces back and fourth. i was told it could be a ground on the gauge but can't find where the ground is to check and i can't get the cluster out enough to disconnect the speedometer cable. can anyone help |

| most usually it is the sending unit itself. most of the time it will be steady when full to about 3/4 then jump around until about 1/4 full and be steady until empty. that would be sending units. when 1 starts the other is not usually far behind.. |
