1994 Taurus Driver's Window Motor Replacement I have a 1994 Taurus that has been reliable for the most part but is now having trouble with the window motors. I had the left rear window motor go out some time ago and was able to remove it without problem and lock the window in the raised position. I didn't bother replacing it because it was not used much and did not seem worth the expense. Now the driver's window motor has gone out and it is a necessary repair. I found a reasonable replacement part and tried removing the motor but find myself stuck. I removed the 3 bolts and the unit is loose but does not seem to waant to come out. Does the regulator need to be removed to get the motor out? The motor seems to be sandwiched between a bracket and the door panel. Will wiggling it break it loose or is there another fastener that I am overlooking? I had to give up on the job because I live in South Florida and the heat finally drove me back inside. Thanks in advance for any help. |
