The alarm system in my girlfriends 2006 Taurus is going wacky. Key fob hasn't worked in a while, now the alarm goes off whenever someone just barely touches the car. And, of course, the car won't start due to this. Anyone know how to easily bypass or disable the alarm system without taking it to the dealer? or is the technology too advanced to allow this?
I had a similar problem with my '95 pathfinder, I ended up swapping 2 pairs of plugs under the dash to bypass the unit. I was hoping there would be something that easy, but an answer I received elsewhere makes me think otherwise....
