I have a '92 Crown Victoria. This morning, when I inserted the key into the ignition and turned it ... it broke off leaving most of the key in the ignition. Does anyone know of a fairly simple way to extract the key without dismanteling the entire car? Would be very grateful for help.
If you can still turn the key put it in the run position and there is a hole onder the cowl you can stick a very small screwdriver in to release the key and cylinder.Youy can either replace the assembly or take it to a locksmith and they might be able to get the piece of key out.
