1995 Concour engine harness bad insulation

1995 Contour , insulation is coming off all engine harness wires. 2.5 v-6. Ford says sorry, car is over 10 years old and has over 100,000 miles. 123,000 to be exact and program to replace at no charge has expired. Have factory Ford shop manuals coming from E-BAY, Have been working on cars for 35 years and am capable of repairing myself, (question) will harness from 1997 and up fit? 1995 and 1996 were the bad years. Any answers would help. I also own a 1996 Powerstroke and a 2000 F-150 Thank You, Art C.

They should be as long as you get one from another 2.5 pre-98. A post 98 harness will not work.
