Default power seat

Have a 2000 Windstar van the power seat has stopped working. Fuses look ok. lst the front back stopped about 8 mo ago now the up and down position has stopped. Unfortunatly even with the power pedals (which still function) wife is not comfortable driving car. Arms are just not long enough!

Can anyone help me with this problem would sure appreciate a rapid response. Maybe you can tell me where on net to find manual. Thanks

Rog

I may not be much help here, but do the switchs feel the same as the did before, can you hear the motors running, can you check for power at the motors? Those power seats are great til the stop working, then you wish to hell they were manual.

The fuse is ok. 2 motors are not working. The lumbar motor is still working. (There are 3 motors under the seat!) I am inclined to think it is the switch. Would love to get the seat off so I could check the power to the motors. I am very handy but I just cannot figure out how the seats come out and/or what to do with the shoulder belt etc. Also think I must remove seat to remove switch assembly. I have removed seats in full sized vans and our motorhome but this one stumps me. Thus I asked about getting a manual - hopefully a pdf to download free hopefully. I guess I am asking about a little more manual info then the one that comes with the car - it is no help.

Do appreciate your answering Thanks a lot

Mine has done the exact same thing. My Windstar is falling apart! The rear windows no longer work, the drivers seat stopped working and the sliding doors squeak like crazy when it rains. Of course, I just paid it off this year!
