How do I reconnect my cruise control on my 99 Explorer
Hey guys, I had my cruise control disconnected to comply with a recall about a year ago and I haven't missed it that much. Unfortunately I'm driving cross country in a few days and the thought of doing so without cruise control is pretty scary!!!
Does anybody know what method the dealers/other mechanics used to disconnect the system? I would be excited if it was something as simply as a pulled circuit breaker but if really complicated I guess I'd just drive without it.
Phantom is correct, but my guess was they just unplugged it from the brake pressure switch (which is really the root of the problem) at the master cylinder.
Thanks guys. My problem is I only have about a 3 hour window from the time I get home until I have to start my drive. I was planning on changing my oil and possibly changing the spark plugs and air filter. I guess I'll have look around the master cylinder and see if I can reconnect the pressure switch. Thanks again.
