Default 86 F250 460..brake fuse keeps blowing

I just purchased a 1986 F250 460 and am learning to work on it as I go. The first problem I need some help on is that the 15amp fuse for the brakes keeps blowing out. The tail lights are good, just the brakes keep blowing.

As I sdaid I am a newbie here and to the world of auto repair ( which I am really starting to like now that I have to work on my beast ), so any suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Remove all of the bulbs from the back and then install a new fuse, if your fuse blows you have a short in the wiring somewhere or a socket that is very corroded. Your bulbs should be fine they should blow before your fuse does, if the fuse doesn't blow with all the bulbs removed you have a bad bulb or someone installed one or more bulbs with too high of wattage rating.

Check your shop manual for what wattage of bulbs you should have installed for the various bulbs.
