 1993 Escort wiper motor dead
My 1st post, so go easy on me. My 1993 Escort (1.9) wiper motor went dead. Before I considered troubleshooting, I swapped out the motor. No good, still dead. So, I swapped out the multiswitch; still dead. Since these were used parts, I finally decided to look into troubleshooting. Searching the internet, I ran across LastTudor's post of a wiring diagram for a 1990 Taurus, showing the wiper motor circuit. The wiring diagrams in my Chilton manual don't even show a wiper motor; can anybody provide one for my car? The motor has two 3-pin connectors; 1 on the motor body, 1 on the gearhead. What do I look for to see if power is getting to it? Which terminals control what? Thanks for any help!! |
