Default Red Blinking Light on 2003 Taurus

I just bought a 2003 Ford Taurus. Today I noticed a very small red blinking light on the dash just below the Hot/Cold Meter, that won't go off, no matter what I do with locks, or lights. It is slowly blinking, whether the car is running or not. (at all times) Is this small blinking light supposed to be "on" at all times? If not, how do I turn it off?

Thanks!

You "can" get rid of it. Clip pin 30 on the PCM. But if it is constantly on, then there is a problem with the chip in the key. OR a problem with Chip transceiver in the steering wheel. Bad connectivity with the Powertrain Control Module. PCM

I wouldn't recommend disabling it.
