Angry Alternator Change on '99 SHO 3.4L

I am changing the alternator on my 1999 SHO, with 3.4L V8. It is the job from H_ll, and there is one bolt I cannot get undone.

Have disconnected battery, removed right front tire and forward fender shield, slackened tensioner and removed drive belt. I had relatively little trouble getting the two bottom alternator mount bolts off, but the top one is a killer! It has a stud in the top, a bracket on the stud, with a 7/16" nut to secure. Underneath is a 15mm bolt head (the main mount bolt).

- It is not visible from underneath, and I cannot get a socket on the 7/16" nut with a ratchet wrench. I cannot get my hand in there to use a box/open end wrench.

- So, I went to the top of the engine. The thing is surrounded by an air conditioning tube and jacketed fuel lines. I separated the alternator cable from the upper cable clamp, and tried getting an open end 15mm wrench down in there to get the main bolt head. I can get the wrench over it (using my fingertips on the box end to manipulate it), but there is NO room to turn the thing even 1/8" to loosen. Again, a socket won't do it because the steel clamp is still bolted to the stud in the bolt head.

Anybody conquered this one? If so, How?
