Default '99 Windstar Fuse keeps blowing out...

I currently have an electrical problem with Fuse #10 in my wife's Ford '99 Windstar. Each time I replace the fuse and turn on the key, it blows again. I do not have a '99 Windstar Chassis schematic, so I cannot tell exactly what is controlling this circuit, but I "think" it could be associated with Relay #6. When it first opened up, the engine was idling and I heard an increase in air flow from the back of the van. Almost immediately the ABS light came on on the dash. I drove the van around the block and found the AC wasn't cooling, in the front anyway, and the speedometer wasn't working. Nor did the odometer register. All of this is associated with the fuse #10.

If anyone has ran into this problem or experienced these symptoms, please help. Thanks.

Try the info here: Ford Windstar Recall For ABS Brake Light Issue

It sounds like this might be what both of you are facing. Sadly its NOT what's wrong with my Windstar...

Questions for you are in bold. Non bold is observations.

Holy Crap there is a lot on this fuse.

Excerpt from the 99 windstar owner's manual.

It has to be in the cabin. Fuse 10 is N/A under the hood. Relay 6 in cabin, or under hood?

Ok. you said the fuse pops as soon as you turn the key? Do you have the climate controls set to OFF, when this happends?

wikianswers.com says to check your brake fluid. if it is low you might have a leak in your cruise control brake pressure sensor. it will eventually blow fuse #10 it says it is under the master cylinder reservoir and to remove the air cleaner for more room to work. part costs about $35. i'm still looking for a diagram or pic. check- http://www.ford.com/dynamic/metatags..._recall_update
