taurus power window and lock don't work

I have a 2003 taurus. The left rear power window and door lock stopped working at the same time. When the lock is activated from either remote or driver's door, the rear lock makes a grinding noise. When the window is activated from either the rear door or driver's door, the window motor/activator makes a clicking noise. I assume there's power getting to both. Where's causing both not to function?

You are going to have to pull the panel plastic off. There may be corrosion involved.
