Well, mine was and still is the hazard switch. Up to 2002 I believe, the stop lights ran through the hazard switch. When the ambient temperature gets warm, say 75 or so. My switch gets warm and pops on the lights. It was a long process, but I narrowed problem down to that. My only solutin was to cut a hole in the a/c vent behind the switch and run the fan on cool setting. I chased all the wiring back to the ECM and found nothing grounded out or loose. I've posted this on many sites with no resolution. I bought a matched ECM but I wasn't aware my present key will not work with the PATS system. So for now I run the fan. Now that it's hot outside I have to run the a/c for few minutes at a time to keep it cool. It's definately temperature related, because the warmer the weather has gotten the quicker the lights come on. After about 5 minutes in the hot weather and about 20 minutes in the cold. Why ? I have no clue.
