Default 94 ranger trailer lights problem

I have a 94 ranger exteneded cab v6. I'm having problems hooking up the trailer lights system. I bought a new dongle for the trailer lights that I hooked up underneith the back bumper. All grounds are good and tested. I have no voltage for the brakes ( Brown wires ). I have no voltage for the right side running lights ( Green Wire ). I have voltage for left side running lights and blinker ( Yellow Wire ). I have voltage for right side blinker. All lights have been checked and light up just fine. Does anybody have any experience with this? I need to know if anybody has wirring diagram? Thanks for your help!

I'm looking at an electrical diagram for a 94 Ranger, and this is what I see:

Black - grounds

Brown - park lights and license plates lamps

Light Green - Brake lights

Orange/Light Blue - rear right turn lamp

Light Green/Orange - rear left turn lamp

Are these wire colors the ones that are comming to the lights on the truck, or maybe the connector under the bumper. Is there a way you could send me the diagram. Thanks much.

This is what goes to the rear lights. There is no factory connections for that year Ranger, so if you have a trailer connector, it's probably an aftermarket connector that somebody tapped in.

This is what I have bought. This connects to two connectors under my rear bumper. These are the wires I'm trying to trace. Any help is much appreciated.

LOL... I have a diagram for a 98 Ranger, and the colors are different again!
I post this just for future reference for others.

These are the color wires that run from the fuse box to the adapter.

1998 Ranger
Black... ground Located at the top of the left (driver's side) hand fender apron, near the hood hinge.
Dk Green... right directionals
Yellow ... Left Directionals
Brown/white stripe running lamps

thanks Bronco Joe.
Is the adapter that you are talking about in the rear between the two lights? If so, are the wires you spoke of in your post a loop of the wires going to the actual lights? Or are they seperate?

That is a good question. It appears that the trailer adapter wires are fed independantly.
I.E. they are not directly connected to the Ranger's existing light wiring.

It appears that the multifunction switch feeds the directionals to the truck and the trailer separately.

The trailer running lamps get their power from an under the hood "trailer/tow" relay.

The adapter that I am referring to is the actual plug/receptical that is attached the the class III hitch.

It appears that Ferratillis has the documentation for your year truck (I do not). He is probably better at this than me, so hopefully he will be able to help you out.
