After wiggling it and getting no results I'm guessing the switch is bad per your suggestions. Chilton's won't list AC repairs, so I guess it's off to the mechanic. Thanks everyone.

It has a schraeder valve so it should not leak out any freon.

Hi Phantom Smack. So you're saying I can replace the switch myself? I'm working as a temp after getting laid off so if I can do it myself and save a few bucks, I'd rather do that.

Yep, replace it yourself. The freon will NOT leak out when the sensor is removed. There is a schraeder valve under it to hold the pressure back.
