Hi,

I have a '97 Expedition doing the same thing. I've spoken with a mechanic who is supposed to look at it early next week. Based on what he said, it might be the GEM module that is having problems. I'll post up what I find out.

Since all the locks are inoperable they may not be getting an power.
Check fuse #18 (25 amp mini) in the fuse panel..... left side of vehicle, below instrument panel.

Also, There are 3 relays located in Auxiliary Relay Box #2.....Left rear of vehicle, above wheelwell.
Driver door unlock relay
Door unlock relay
Door unlock relay

GEM does not control locks. They are controlled by the Remote Keylees Entry module.

Found the problem on my '97 based on this post! I had forgotten about the box on the wheelwell. Checked it, and mini-fuse #3 was the culprit. Thanks for jogging my memory!
