Exclamation 2002 Mustang--Changed Battery & Car Still Wont Start

Okay, my battery went completely dead without me leaving anything on.... I took the battery to autozone and after charging for 45 minutes the guy said it still had no charge. So I bought a new battery and after I installed it, the car still wont turn..it just makes a clicking sound...the overhead light was flashing on and off and the headlights went from working, to not working and back to working. When I try to start it, it makes a single click sound and does nothing more. What could possible be wrong?

Loose connection at battery or starter. Bad ground.

New battery needs a charge if the connections are clean and tight.
It wouldn't be the first time I bought a battery from AZ and it needed a charge.

Same thing happened to me with a 2006 Mustang. Charged the battery and next day the thing wouldn't start! Took it to Ford garage and they said the battery checked out OK but gave me a different one anyway. The next day the thing wouldn't start again!!! Took it to Ford garage again and they checked everything over again and said they couldn't find anything wrong. They put in another battery (even though the battery checked out OK). That was 2 years ago and have had no problems again...Is that weird, or what??
