Default hi newbie here can you help newbie ford owner

hi all. i have just bought a ford sierra but within days it has become sick. im looking to find out where a hose goes and what a part is that i broke today.
i have taken the part to a ford dealer and they didnt know what it is.
here is some pics

the later free are where the hose is missing from T pipe join

I have never heard of a Ford Sierra, is this a British vehicle? You may want to define the vehicle and engine as a start.

hi yes it is a 2ltr DOHC with carb 1990 year

the bit i broke is a one way air valve just need to know where the pipe of, off T goes now

Can you tell us where the hose goes to?????

It is a delay valve....Find where the hose goes and that will be what it is for....
