Default 2000 Taurus Blower Motor works on HIGH only, + Intermittent

So on the dash there is the blower fan intensity switch. It has three stages. Only works on high, and it doesnt always work. Also when it does work you can hear a whining from the glove box. I know the blower motor is in there. what do you think it is? When it is working and on high it pumps well. Thanks

It sounds like a bad blower motor resistor. Usually if the blower is working on one speed only, the switch is good. I would verify power and grounds before condeming the resistor, and past experience would have you check everything. The resistor is probably around $20-30 if you wanted to try that. Also verify if you have power to the blower with the switch on the different settings.
