Default Disabling ABS

I have a 98 Contour Sport with the 2.5L V6 and automatic. It's in good condition and runs great. I've been told by a local dealer that the ABS pump is gone after the fuse blew and fan motor stopped. The cost to replace the pump is more than the car is worth. I would just pull the fuse but its on the same circuit as the fan. No fuse, no ABS, no fan. Does anyone know if the ABS can be disconnected permanently without pulling the fuse?

Thanks,
Derek

I'm not sure, but I have heard about people getting a little brake line and bypassing the system. I'd consider running some new wiring for the fan, personally
