I began hearing this noise when the car was still under warranty a couple of years ago. It has gotten worse since. It is a noise that is like a click from underneath the car. You would hear it when the brake is applied and the car slows down. You only hear when the car slows down in drive not in reverse. I already had the brakes examined which is fine. To me it sounds as if it is coming from the transmission but I can't be sure. I would really like to lean over underneath the car while I'm braking but don't think I would be able to comment back being that I would probably be dead. So does anyone have any ideas for me? Oh yea I forgot to mention that I took the car to Ford and they could not find the problem!
