99 Explorer Radiator Leak/ #3 Cylinder Misfire Having some problems with my explorer, I think I have it diagnosed but I want to make sure I'm not getting tunnel vision.
Started with excessive engine vibrations and Check Engine light with the code for misfire on #3 cylinder. Pulled spark plug, seemed to be oil fouled. Replaced with another autolite and started using Lucas Fuel Treatment clean up the cylinder. Ran great for about a week then light came back on for same cylinder. Checked plug and wire (all seem to working fine), but noticed my coolant holding tank was empty with the radiator low on coolant. Refilled and have seen a slight decrease in fluid, all appears to internal.
Looks like Head Gasket Leak so I picked up some Bar's HG Repair/ Block Seal. Going to do a Compression Test on #3 tomorrow to ensure I'm headed in the right direction before doing the detailed block seal.
what else should I be looking for? Could it be something else?
Also, if I use the Bar's Stop Leak, where can I depose of the Antifreeze/ flushed liquid?
