It worked! Problem though is it didn't exactly time like it should have. Another friend of mine said that after I timed it to 12 degrees at 2000 rpm, when I let off the throttle it should go down to the factory setting at 6 degrees. Well, it went below that almost to 0. But it runs great. I have power again. I changed the cap and rotor, plugs and wires, and a new igniton coil. I think it could be that the distributos mechanical advance is worn out because it still hesitates a little bit. If I floor it it sometimes backfires and about dies. Otherwise it runs smooth again and has power. do you think it is the distributor? maybe a vaccum leak? the factory emissions control is all unhooked. |
