| ford explorer hello all hope you can help
stopped at a local tranny shop have a noise coming from torque area he tells me its the dampners in torque inverter are noisey not to worry uless it get loader any thoughts on this matter

| Does it make a whining noise that changes with the RPM? Most trans shops around my area will sell a rebuild if they have to remove the trans. That being the case here, I would drive it till it stops working.

| no its more like a tinny heat shield noise but coming from in side of bell housing area |

| Have you gotten any second opinions? I haven't heard anything similar to what you have described. I have had several with a whine. Is it possible that the noise is exhaust related?

and its coming from inside bellhousing area
go fiqure
i my take off inspection sheild for fly wheel and look and listen
i no its got me puzzled to
