Default 99 Explorer Timing Chains

I'm new here to help my friend. Where can I find diagrams regarding the replacement of the timing chains? I think the sound is coming from the front so I hope I can do the work with the engine in. Tips? Ideas? Selling is not an option due to finincial concerns. If you guys can help me help her it'll lesson her emotional load.
Thanks Steve

It will depend on which engine code your friend has. What is the 8th digit of the VIN? Some of those 4.0s have more than one chain.
