Default 87 Ranger hesitation
I have recently rebuilt a 1987 ranger with a 2.3. I was getting it ready to pass smog a couple days ago so i changed the spark plugs and O2 censor. Now every time i start it it is very sluggish and it hesitates. If i sit there and idle for about 5 min it will rev up in rpms and run just fine. I dont have a clue whats wrong, any ideas?

Didn't put bosch plugs in it did you?

actually, i did, BUT!!!! i went and bought some autolights and its doing the same thing

ok, thats good

When you put the new oxygen sensor in, did it have a harness that just plugged in on the oxygen sensor, or did you have to crimp it with the connector on the old one?

I've heard that crimping on that harness doesn't always work, and the resistance will be too large.
