Default zetec in to 97 escort
My girl friend has a 97 ford escort with the spit cam motor i think its a 2.0 but i'm not sure, and it just has one problem after the other. I was reading that there was a zetec motor put in to the escort so i thought that would be great, only i don't know what all i would have to do, can some one please help me.

the motor in the 97 is a 2.0

I would not go through the hassle of changing the motor to the ZETEC. For the cost of the motor, trans, axles, computer and other small parts, you can buy a ZX2 that already has the 2.0 ZETEC.

20 more horsepower and a better looking car, you should talk her into it
