Question tranny interchangabilty

i need to know what transmissions will fit in a 77 F250 super cab long bed 2 wheel drive. i found an 80s half ton van with a good tranny but i dont know if it will fit. as of now i have a C6 automatic. if i put a half ton tranny in a 3/4 ton will it create problems?

you need to make sure you have the same bellhousing
and measure the total length of the transmissions.

Your linkage should hook right up to the new trans.
