2003 Expedition Hesitation/Misfire

I have a 2003 Eddie Bauer Expedition with just over 50,000. About a week ago I noticed a stutter under load with low acceleration (between 1100 and 2100 rpm). Start up and idle are no problem just light acceleration such as starting slowly from a stop or maintaining highway speed. The "Service Engine Soon" light has not so much as blinked once. I replaced the air filter and fuel filter. Still the problem persists. Does anyone have any ideas?

I may not be bad enough yet to set a light.Find someone who can read mode 6 data or do a power balance test.

Ford has extended the warranty on some of their ignition coils. A quick call to the dealer with your VIN may get you 8 new coils free. It,s worth a shot.
