| No fuel is spraying from the throttle body carburator I have a 84 Ford LTD. With a 2 barrel throttle body carburetor. Fuel is getting to the carburetor and the fuel pump is working. But fuel isn't spraying from the carburetor. If i pour a little fuel into the carburetor then the car will start and run for a couple of seconds and then shut back off when the fuel burns out.
Why is my throttle body carburetor not spraying the fuel? |

| "throttle body" and "carburator" are mutually exclusive terms. You either have an electrically controled carb., or throttle body fuel injection. If you do actually have a ford throttle body injection car you may be in for a headache. Ford never really understood throttle body injection and quickly switched to multi port injection. If your throttle body injectors are not firing you need to check and see if the injection pulse signal is coming from the pcm. then you need to ohm test your injectors to see if the internal magnetic coil has failed. If you read infinite resistance in injectors replace them and see what happens. Good luck. |
