| Pitman Arm Hello one and all. It is a pleasure to work with so many Ford, and espcially Falcon enthusiast.
I have a 1960 Ranchero that a prior owner put power steering in. The code on the steering box is HCC-AZ, which I believe is from a 65 Falcon. I also have a 1963 Sprint with manual steering. I'm in the process of swapping steering between the two. The size of the sector shaft of the two steering boxes are different. It took a 1 1/8" socket to remove the pitman arm from the Ranchero, and it took nearly a 2" socket to remove the arm from the Sprint. So my problem is is that I need a manual steering pitman arm for the Ranchero. I've bought a couple of pitman arms that fit a 1 1/8" sector shaft but they are to big. Should I be looking for a 1" sector shaft pitman arm even though it takes a 1 1/8" socket to remove it?
I appreciate everyones help.
