Crown Vic P71 Engine swap question I took my 2000 CVPI "swimming" last week. Now, the motor knocks. I have a good complete motor from a 2001 CVPI. I know that my current motor is not a performance improved motor, but the '01 is. Everything according to my research will bolt in. Will put the '01 PCM in the car. Will I have any issues?

How deep was the swim, you may need to be concerned about water contamination of all electronics, transmission , rear end, and brake system. I think the engine swap would be plug in unless you have to change a sensor or two because wiring plugs don't match up. good luck

I have the complete wiring harness, PCM, sensors, etc. The motor was complete. Water got to bottom of seats. Nowhere near the dash. Tranny and rear end flush done. Everything points to that it will work...
