Thumbs down Is CONVERSION POSSIBLE?

Have a 1973 Ford f100 4X4, Would like to take the 390 out and put in a inline 6. Can it be done and are there any specs I can look at on how to do this?

I think that the 300 six was the base engine in 73 and if that is true, it should be a bolt in swap. You will have to make sure that the bell housing's match up to the 390 style. There are 300 sixes to fit both kinds of transmissions. good luck

oh yeah ... expecially on a 73, just as said before you have to get the right bolt pattern for the tranny, and make sure you get the right motor with a manual fuel pump not one that uses an intank electric, and you'll be fine.
