lwrdr2 Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Midlothian, IL Posts: 8	97-03 4.2L v6 Im looking at replacing my 96 E-150 conversion with a 97 and up but im looking at getting a V6. I have heard that these engine do have a higher than normal failure rate due to I guess intake gaskets that go bad? Esp the f series trucks? Is this the norm and is it a problematic engine esp with pushing around conversion van weight. Are there any other failure issues that happens with these engines? __________________ 1996 Ford E-150 Conversion Van 2000 GMC Sonoma ZR-2 1991 Cadillac DeVille 2004 Kia Optima LX
