Default 87 mechanical fuel pump
How can i tell if the fuel pump went bad. because i have a 87 f150 with a 351w and i was driving it then it just cut out when i went to press the gas and when i went to start it it wouldn't start but when i would pour some gas down the carb it would start but not stay running and i tried the fuel filter but thats not the problem so if anyone could help.

You could remove the fuel line, put it into a bucket and crank the engine and see if that works.

i just replaced it and then tried turning the engine over for a couple miunutes and it still didn't work, any other ideas

check see if the cut off switch is off (red button)

anyone know where to get the tool for disconnecting the lines off of the selector valve
