Default Engine Tranny swap

I have a 92 Sable and was wondering if a 97 Taurus engine tranny could be swap without to much trouble? The Tranny is shot in the Sable and the 97 was rear ended bad. Gary

Nope.

The 92 used an AX4S and the 97 used a AX4N. Similar, but different, especially in the electronics.

So switching out the whole cradle, engine and tranny wouldn't work?

Misunderstood.

Yes, swapping the engine and transmission should work. Make certain you get the PCM and the complete wiring harness.
