Default rotten egg smell?

i used to remember what smelling rotten egg ish smell ment coming from the vehicle ment. refresh my noggen

my thought is the catalytic converter? heard a few others but dont sound right

its the cat burning off extra fumes. its from your fuel/air mixture being to rich. check for clogged air filter if is ok and u have a carborator check to see if the choke plate is stuck make sure u run the engine a bit first look down the carb barrel to see if the choke is open. if it is then a vacume leak is ur problem.

Another frequent cause is the easy and cheap to test is that your alternator is over charging your battery, and the sulfer smell is your battery cooking. It can start off as an every so often thing, to a dead on the side of the road thing.
