Default towncar engine swap

i was wondering if anyone knows if im able to pull out the 4.6 281C.I. 2V iron block engine in my 1995 towncar and switch it out with a 4.6 281C.I. 4V aluminum block?

should be able to...a lot of mustangers do that swap. you'll probably need the computer and harness from the 4v car but i'm not sure.

you should check on a mustang forum like Mustang Forums at StangNet and do a search.

cjones, a complete engine was what I thought he was asking at first also. It sounds like he might want to keep the 2V heads. Do they bolt on to the 4V AL block ?

if that's the case...his best bet would probably be to call the Ford Racing Performance Parts Techline at (800) FORD788

from what i can tell ford had a design change between 1998 and 1999.

i am doing a complete engine swap. and do you know wat kinda of trans i can switch that out with im trying to get up to 600HP out of my towncar.
