Didn't you try running it through the gears before you put it in?

If yes, and all was well, then see if your linkage is binding.

Is your clutch disengaging?

No, I didn't runn it thru before install.... its was tuff w/ no linkage, ya know? But now I think a screwdriver in the link would have done the trick. Anyway, the clutch is disengaging because the car will sit w/o moving w/ the clutch down, engine running. But when I let up the clutch the car goes forward (like I said, it seems to be in like 3rd or 4th gear). Also, it doesn't want to roll easy either way.
